CHILLICOTHE, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says two brothers were seriously injured in a wreck over the weekend.
The Patrol says 56-year-old William Englert of Ida, Ark., wrecked with two passengers on private property, four miles south of Chillicothe around 8 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities say Englert was driving a UTV across a field when he accelerated and turned sharply, causing the UTV to overturn. Englert was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City by Lifeflight.
The 53-year-old brother of the driver, Daniel Englert of Chillicothe, was transported to Hendrick Medical Center by a private vehicle with serious injuries.
Another passenger, 54-year-old Jerry Ballantyne, of Chillicothe, was taken to Hendrick Medical Center with minor injuries.
